About Us
Our History
With decades of experience in insurance law, our team has an extensive
understanding of insurance companies’ policies and are uniquely
positioned to create strategic arguments for policyholders. We know how
they operate when they are avoiding and
denying rightful claims.
You need support and guidance. We believe in an open and transparent
approach to partnering with our clients and an aggressive and results-driven offensive when going after insurance companies.
We know what to do when insurance companies are being unreasonable. We are truthful, reliable and relentless in our advocacy for you. If you’ve been wronged, we can make it right.
"No one realizes how complicated and confusing insurance is until they must file a claim. Don’t take that journey alone. We are here to help."
Principal
Meet Susan
We are an Oklahoma City-based law firm specializing in insurance disputes and fiercely protecting individuals and families from unjust insurance company action or inaction. Our principal, Susan Kane, is an experienced attorney who works closely with our clients to listen to their concerns, strategize the most effective tactics and wage war on their wrongdoers.
Susan graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2002 and is admitted to practice in in all federal and state courts in Oklahoma and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. With over twenty years in private practice including two years as a law clerk in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, she is a seasoned litigator, well versed in the practice of insurance law in Oklahoma.
Prior to founding Kane Advocates, Susan’s insurance practice focused on insurance defense. Over the course of her twenty plus years in this area of practice, and her own experience making insurance claims, Susan recognized the vulnerability of insurance claimants and their need for zealous, honest and approachable advocacy—but with the capacity to engage in a fight.
When not in the office, Susan is an avid runner completing multiple ultra-distance trail marathons and road races each year and is currently in training for a 100-mile race. She also volunteers for four hours a week with the non-profit Not Your Average Joe, is a gardener, a knitter, sometimes beekeeper, and manager of the busy lives of her five children (bagpipe lessons and competitions, basketball, softball, cross country and pole vaulting).
